Baby Thomas is off the ventilator now, peeing and pooping and starting to eat. He weighs 2 pounds 12 ounces and has a head full of dark hair.
Nieceling is pumping enough breastmilk to put Elsie the cow to shame and all of her parts are working well after the crash C-section. Husband is hovering like a helicopter.
Grandpa is looking for a preemie sized Carolina Hurricanes hockey jersey and Grandma has finally gone home to get some sleep.
I can stop calling NC 3 times a day now. Anybody know of cute preemie knitting patterns?

Glad things are much improved. Prayers and good vibes will continue to flow from here, anyway. If you search for baby in Patterns on Raverly there are eleventy-billion BABY patterns. You’re a great knitter and can take a pattern and adjust down if necessary. If it doesn’t fit him now it will.
Again, Congratulations!
Congrats on the great-nephew. I know from experience how scary that is. 6 years ago, my sister had my nephew at around 28 weeks. He spent 3 months in NICU, but now is a happy, healthy 6 y/o with no issues at all! That’s where I get my name from, btw!! Good luck on finding preemie knitting patterns
Our prayers are with you and your family. It’s awesome that he is breathing on his own so quickly. Hopefully that means he will get to go home sooner rather than later. Good luck finding your knitting patterns, and have fun knitting for him.
I found lots of free preemie patterns at Bev’s Country Cottage online:
